The training ends at the BFRI

The closing ceremony of the 14-day training course titled “Forestry Research and Development in Bangladesh” was held for newly recruited researchers at the Bangladesh Forest Research Institute at the auditorium of the institute in Chattogram on Saturday.

The Minister of Environment, Forests and Climate Change, Shahab Uddin, was present at the closing ceremony of the training as the main guest, while the Director of BFRI, Rafiqul Haider, spoke as as a special guest. The ministry’s additional secretary, Md Mizanul Haque Chowdhury, and the US Forest Service’s Asia-Pacific program manager, Justin Green, among others, were present at the event, a press release said.

The minister thanked USAID and the US Forest Service for their overall support of the training course.

The program was led by BFRI Publicity Manager Yaqub Ali.
