Are you a graduate/undergraduate student, faculty member, early career professional, or an enthusiast in Forestry and Climate Science and want to strengthen the technical capacity and knowledge of natural resource management? We welcome you to a one-of-a-kind webinar series!   About the Webinar Series We are thrilled to announce a Forestry and Climate Science (FoCaS) Knowledge Exchange Webinar Series from October 2 to December 4, 2023. The Compass Program of USAID Bangladesh and the U.S. Forest Service, and the College of Life Sciences and Agriculture (COLSA), University of New Hampshire, will facilitate it. The speakers will be from the University of Chittagong, Khulna University, Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST), Rangamati Science and Technology University (RMSTU), Bangladesh Forest Research Institute (BFRI), Bangladesh Forest Department (BFD), and the University of New Hampshire (UNH). Presentations will cover ecosystem valuation, watershed modeling, forest and landscape restoration, and more on forestry, climate science, and natural resource management topics in Bangladesh and beyond.   In our first FoCaS Webinar, we will hear from Malin Clyde, UNH Cooperative Extension, about developing accessible training for citizen and community science. Dr. Nikhil Chakma, Assistant Professor, RMSTU, will speak about bamboo flowering in the Chittagong Hill Tracts and its impacts on the environment.   Certification Upon completion of the six webinars, the participants will be awarded a certificate by the University of New Hampshire, USA.   Registration The Webinar Series is open to all interested participants.
